Teucer

Τεῦκρος).
1.
The son of the river-god Scamander by the nymph Idaea. He was the first king of Troy,
whence the Trojans are sometimes called
Teucri.
2.
Son of Telamon and Hesioné, was a step-brother of Aiax, and the best archer
among the Greeks at Troy. He founded the town of Salamis in Cyprus, and married
Euné, the daughter of Cyprus, by whom he became the father of Asteria. See
